Stephanie Calhoun is certified through ISSA. She specializes in nutrition and weight loss. She is also very knowledgeable when it comes to weight training. Stephanie has been working out for a long time and knows how much dedication is involved but she believes everyone is capable of achieving great results. People are different and she will find a program to suite the individual. She is only a phone call away if you feel like you may slip up. Stephanie will keep you well informed and motivated. She is happy to answer any and all concerns you may have. Unlike some other trainers she will mix up routines and incorporate new exercises as her clients advance. Her approach keeps things interesting. She wants her clients to enjoy working out and stay enthusiastic. Every week should be a new experience. If a client is not responding well to a certain program or does not feel as though they are getting their desired results, she will find a new one. Within the first few weeks of training nutrition is crucial. If an individual has not worked out for a long period of time their body processes exercise as a negative activity. Thus, optimal results are achieved through healthy eating habits. The added nutrition also aids the body in adapting to regular exercise. She generally has her clients fill out a daily food log. This allows Stephanie to keep track of what they should not be eating, what they should be eating, and how often. If you need her to she will tag along to the grocery store and help you make good choices. Stephanie can help people with a wide array of goals. Whether someone would like, overall weight loss, toning, full body work outs, problem areas, strength, endurance, or combinations. The key is coupling cardiovascular training and weight training along with proper nutrition. She will bring equipment to your home if needed. Potential clients keep in mind, having some type of cardio equipment, a swimming pool, stairs, ECT. will speed up results. However, she is very creative and will find a solution if that is not the case. For one to gain proper results at least three sessions a week are recommended. During each session there will be a warm up period involving cardio. The rest of the session involves weight and strength training. This means intense cardio must be done on your own time. If your goal is just to lose pounds you still need weight training. The more muscle mass the more calories you burn at rest ( sitting on the couch watching Opra). Keep in mind that muscle and fat weigh the same; muscles just take up less room. She will work you out hard but keep the environment light hearted. If you are having trouble staying motivated to eat right or train on off days, she will call you and make sure you do it! Group sessions are also available and studio time if you would rather train in a gym environment. Remember, she comes to you so all you have to do is roll out of bed!
